Obituary

How can you sum up one of the greatest men you have ever known?  Simply, “Superman!”  You will never meet a man with more self-pride and strength than our Dad and Papal.  He lived to his values.  Dad was a teacher of many things and his methods were simple.  He may have been tough on us sometimes, but he made us tough because of it.  He gave us tools to make us stronger.  He made us fighters and hard workers.  He molded each one of his kids in his own way, and whether we want to admit it or not, he was successful.  Dad was very strong-minded.  He was strong in body and commitment.  When things got tough, he only got tougher.  We never saw him give up.  He was never a quitter, and he instilled those traits in his children.  He defied the odds several times in his life.  Dad was truly Superman.

Dad never let a man down and he fulfilled every obligation he ever undertook; regardless of how difficult it was.  Dad’s word was his bond and everyone knew it.  Dad was self-made and he mastered the skills to use every type of tool necessary to build, and to fashion brick, wood, metal, and cement.  Dad was a great man who wouldn’t accept his own greatness, but he was proud of all his children.  Dad once said, “I’m the richest man in the world.  I have the best kids, and a wife that I love to the moon and back.  I don’t need money.  Rich men envy what I have.”  He was right.  He was a rich man; he raised great kids, and he had a great family.  Dad never had enemies.  He was loyal, and his faithfulness to the people that he loved showed day in and day out.  Dad taught us to only get stronger.  He saved some of us on more than one occasion with a simple question:  What would Dad do?

For all his children – when times get tough, ask yourself, “What would Dad do?”  He would get a straw and suck it up.  He would get back up, dust himself off, and keep on moving.  He loved each of us; he never left us, and he never will.

From his family – we love you, and we thank you.  You will forever be loved and missed.
