What a sad loss. I knew Eddie when he moved down to Jacksonville and we umpired many baseball games together and had some great talks about so many things. Always had a smile, always willing to do whatever he could for you and was always interested in what was going on in your life. Just a kind man. Truly one of a kind who is and will be missed by many....

I knew Ed when he first moved to Jacksonville. He always had to kind loving smile. He was a wonderful man to talk with and to get to know. I remember his passion for his kids and grandkids, wanting to help them to grow into everything they could but without getting in the way. He loved baseball and umpiring the kids. He was a kind soul and will be missed.

I knew Ed since 2015. We shared similar passions including love of sunrises and seeing our children fulfilled in their lives. I know how much working with kids meant to him and we often spoke of the gratitude that came from those opportunities. He had a great smile and a warm heart.
