Obituary
Edwin “Ed” Turner, 87, of Casselberry FL passed away on May 20, 2021. Born on June 1, 1933 to the late Edwin “Ned” Turner and Julia (Flanigan) Turner. He graduated from Mamaroneck High School before joining the Navy. After being honorably discharged, he worked briefly for Otis Elevator before joining the Mamaroneck Police Department, retiring after 20 year of service in 1984.
He married his wife of 44 years, Joan on July 17, 1977 at Most Holy Trinity Church in Mamaroneck, NY.
He loved boating and fishing on the Long Island Sound with his best friend Donald Keck and his brother-in-law Vinny Autera. After moving to Florida, he became an avid golfer. He was a member of the Elks club, the VFW and the American Legion. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Mary (McMahon) Turner and his sister Connie (Turner) McDonald.
He is survived by his wife Joan (Dodge) Turner, his daughters Mary Kay (Andrew) Bellinger and Reid (Daniel) Burroughs, his son Peter Morris, his grandchildren Christopher (Nalani) Riordan, Michael Bellinger, Valerie (Steven) DeGennaro, Ryan (Taylor Krauss) Bellinger and Allison Bellinger, and his 3 great grandchildren Killian Riordan, Kainoa Riordan and Penelope DeGennaro.
He will be laid to rest on July 2, 2021 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
