Obituary
Eileen Patricia Russell, 82 of The Villages, FL passed away on March 16, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.Eileen was born in Yonkers, NY on August 7, 1935 to Rose and Harold Bagot. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary, a brother, Harold and her beloved husband of 62 years, Joe. Eileen worked as a secretary, but spent the majority of her life as the ultimate homemaker. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Eileen’s passions included travel, going to the movies, dogs, and her faith in God. Forever proud to be the wife of a US veteran, Eileen proudly displayed the American flag whenever possible and she showed continued support for all military personnel and first responders by “thanking them for their service” at every opportunity. Eileen’s sense of humor is what her friends & family will remember most about her as she loved to laugh and had a unique ability to make others laugh as well. Eileen and her late husband Joe retired in 1990 to Naples, FL and then moved to The Villages in 2009. She is survived by her devoted son Scott of Orange Park, FL, sister Margaret of Rock Hill, SC and many nieces and nephews.A mass will be said on Friday April 6, 2018 at 11am at St Vincent de Paul Church, Route 462, Wildwood, FL.
