Obituary

Elinor J. Bray of North Ft. Myer, FL passed unexpectedly on March 9, 2018.  She was born September 17, 1930 in Bloomington, IL where she lived most of her life.  Preceding her in death were her mother, Myrtle Mae (Jensen) Ryan and father, Laurence David Ryan, four brothers: Gerald Lee, Laurence Edwin, Robert Eugene and Larry Allen Ryan.  She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Robert) Zook, of North Ft. Myers, FL and two brothers, Roger Duane and Paul Michael (Pamela) Ryan of Bloomington, IL and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was a devoted mother to both her daughter and son-in-law and will be deeply missed.

Elinor was a graduate of Bloomington High School.  She retired from the State of Illinois, serving 30 years at Illinois Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Children’s School in Normal, IL and 5 years at the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services in Springfield, IL.

A private family graveside service will be held at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bloomington, IL.  Gifts in memory of Elinor may be made to Hope Hospice, Development Office, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.

    Lin, so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I have fond memories of Elinor helping out in the office at Bob Zook AutoBody and the fun we had on a "shopping" trip to Good's Furniture Store in Kewanee. I know you and Bob will miss her greatly.
