Obituary

Elisabeth Elsa Johnson, of New Smyrna Beach, FL, passed away on October 21, 2021, in Volusia County. She is survived by her husband, Tage Johnson, her daughter Eva (Kevin) Huey, her son, Eric (Kelley) Johnson and 3 grandchildren, Sean Huey, Brian Huey and Amanda Johnson.

It was Elisabeth’s wish not to have a funeral or memorial service.  She wanted to be remembered as she was in life.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Gideon.org in Elisabeth’s name.

    Elisabeth and I worked together from Dec 1971 until December 1978, when she was the Office Manager for a Life of Va agency I ran. She remained in that office for many, many years after I transferred to the home office in Richmond, Va. She and Tage became good friends, and I got to know Eva and Eric when she would have me over to dinner frequently….think she was concerned as a young bachelor I wasn’t eating properly. I was blessed to have her steady hand as I began what was to become a 50 year management career. Over the years we got to visit a little and catch up periodically by phone…..but I have never forgotten, or lost my appreciation for the really wonderful person she was. I think of her and her family frequently, and she will truly be missed. God Bless Elisabeth and her family.
