Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Rose Castro Clancy (age 89) passed away peacefully at home with family on May 5th, 2023. She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and raised in Englewood, New Jersey. Elizabeth was honored to win multiple pageants, Miss Surf and Sand Manasquan and Miss Jersey Shore in 1950. She was most proud of her family.

Elizabeth was proceeded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Mahar and Husband of 25 years, Fred Clancy.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Rose (Englewood, FL), Kathleen Rose (W Yarmouth, MA), Glenn Castro (Sante Fe, NM), Neil Castro (Saratoga Springs, NY), Brian Castro (Clifton Park, NY), Scott Castro (Wellfleet, MA), her 18 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking donations to be made in her name to Tidewell Hospice of Sarasota.
