ELIZABETH “BETTY” A. KOMMERS
September 22, 1918 – March 11, 2020
Age 101, a 16 year resident of New Smyrna Bch, Fl. passed away peacefully at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred “Bud” Kommers of 52 years. Betty was originally from Reedsburg, Wi and Chicago IL. She had a long career as nurse and retired from General Motors, Fisher Body Division of Chicago IL. She enjoyed her many furry babies, golfing and being with family and friends. Betty is survived by her nieces Judith Montgomery of Jacksonville, FL. , Nancy Montgomery of Keystone Heights, FL and nephew Robert (Linda) Montgomery of Three River, Mi. Special thank you to Amy Bogosta for her many years as her caregiver, as well as being with her at her passing.
In lieu of flowers, Betty has requested remembrances to be made to the Southeast Volusia Humane Society, 1200 S. Glencoe Blvd, New Smyrna Bch., Fl. 32168. Celebration of her Life has been postponed to a later date.
