Obituary
Elizabeth Gonzalez Smyth, 87, of Ponce Inlet, Florida became an angel on September 9, 2024. She was born on July 18, 1937, to Luis and Carmen (Juarez) Gonzalez in Mexico City, Mexico. She moved to the United Sates at the age of fourteen. Liz graduated from St. Vincent de Paul in Detroit, Michigan. She worked for Jones Transfer Trucking company in Romulus Michigan and met her husband Derry Smyth. She also served as a Teamsters Stewardess. After they both retired from Jones Transfer, they spent their time between their homes in Canada and Florida. She was an avid bowler and loved doing crafts. She is survived by her daughter, Katrina Kowalke Dill and her grandson, Dylan Dill. Her sister Judy Czajka, brothers, Roy Gonzales, and Luis Gonzalez and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Constance (Connie) Navarette. A celebration of life and burial will be held at a future date in Canada.
