At the age of 92, Ellen died on June 21, 2022 in Grand Island, Florida surrounded by her family.

Ellen, fondly known by her family and friends as Lala, was born in 1930 in Cunagua, Cuba.  In 1956 she immigrated with her husband and their two young sons, Edward and Robert to the United States.  They had a daughter, Elena, in New York and relocated to Miami, Florida in 1961. She lived in Miami until 1987 and moved to Lake County, Florida to live with her daughter and son in law.

After a few years of living in Miami, Ellen went to work with Kodak and was trained to be a Photo Finisher and Photograph Restorer.  She worked in that field for over 15 years.  When she moved to Lake County, she worked as a Nanny for two families of well-known Pediatricians until she retired due to health issues in 1998.

Ellen was a fiercely devoted and loving mother, aunt and grandmother.  She was a skillful seamstress, great cook and enjoyed keeping her home in order and gardening.  She adored children and children were always drawn to her.  Ellen was a tenacious problem solver and was often sought after for guidance by family members and friends.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister and brother.  Ellen is survived by her two sons, her daughter, son in law, daughter in law, brother-in-law, brother, nephew and nieces, five grandchildren, six grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
