Obituary

Ellinor Dorothy Allen, 86, of Astatula, Florida passed away on June 17, 2018. Ellinor was born in
Detroit, Michigan on February 24, 1932 to Gustav and Hedwig Fleischmann.
She married the love of her life, Edward Alvin Fitzgerald on December 17, 1949 and was the best
mother in the world to Ed, Sue, Lynn and Karen. She loved being outdoors; swimming, boating, fishing
and just enjoying the beauty of nature. Sporting events were one of her favorite pastimes. She could
cheer as loud as anyone while watching college and professional football, hockey and basketball! And
we all knew not to call her during a NASCAR race! She was a lover of classic rock; Bob Seger, The
Moody Blues, and was known to crank up Dire Straits while doing housework.
Ellinor once wrote that she was the richest person in the world because of her family and
friends. If you knew her, you would agree that she was a very thoughtful and caring person.
Ellinor is predeceased by her parents, husband Edward, son Ed and son-in-law Morgan.
She is survived by her daughters Sue, Lynn and Karen, son-in-laws Larry and John;
grandchildren Jennifer, Kristen, Brian, Tracy and Elinor, great grand children Abby, Blake and Emiliana,
and her brother Siegfried Fleischmann.
Her family will hold a private celebration of her life on June 30, 2018
