Obituary
Eloise Letcher Hogue, born May 4,1931, went home to her Savior on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the age of 94.
Born in Milltown, South Dakota, Eloise attended South Dakota State University. She met Charlie, the love of her life, while working in Minneapolis. They lived in the Orlando area for 62 years. Eloise loved the Lord, her family and friends, and was generous and kind toward all she met. She was a member of and actively involved in the Methodist Church and P.E.O.. She loved volunteering, singing in the choir, cooking and sewing and was amazingly independent until the end handling her own online grocery shopping, managing all her doctor’s appointments and travel arrangements and gifts for the entire family at 94 years old.
Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, Orrin and Bernice Letcher, and her step-mother, Isabel Letcher. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Charles Hogue; her children: James (Lynn) Hogue, Lisa (Ronald) Faber, Linda (Eugene) Heavlin, and John (Debra) Hogue; her grandchildren: Katie (Derek) Barylski, Thomas (Lauren) Faber, Melissa (Aaron) Walker, Trey (Robin) Heavlin, Sam (Madison) Faber, Rachel Heavlin, Emily (Colton) Caslow, Hannah Heavlin, Ian Hogue, Alexander Hogue and Nicholas Hogue; six great-grandchildren; and one cherished brother, Elroy Letcher, along with many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 22nd at Asbury Methodist Church in Maitland, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Sharing Center, www.thesharingcenter.org, or Residing Hope (www.residinghope.org, formerly Florida United Methodist Children’s Home).
