Obituary
Eloise Loftis Woodruff died May 24, 2022, at her home in Fort Myers, FL.
She was born Sept. 24, 1920 in Campobello, S.C. She lived most of her adult life in Greenville and Spartanburg SC counties, where she was a public school teacher for 30 years after graduating from Berea College in Kentucky. She moved to Fort Myers about 12 years ago to be near her only child, Betty Woodruff Parker.
Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Woodruff Jr., her nine brothers and sisters, and her parents. She is survived by her daughter Betty Parker, son-in-law Wiley M. Parker, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She passed in the care of her loving aide and guardian angel Zina Usubian, Hope Hospice, and the staff at Merrill Gardens Barkley Place assisted living. Tina and Shadow, and others at Barkley, are true heroes sent from Heaven.
Arrangements are handled by Baldwin Brothers funeral and cremation society in Fort Myers.
A memorial gathering will be held at a later date at Barkley Place assisted living facility.
