Obituary

Elsa Christine Shea (nee Baronciani) passed from this life on November 20, 2020 in The Villages, Florida. She was formerly a long time resident of Baldwin, NY.

She was born in the Bronx, NY to her loving parents, Lawrence and Angela Baronciani, now deceased. She is survived by Thomas Shea, her devoted husband of 53 years. She is the beloved sister of Linda Kahres (Ray), Ellen Gleason (Tom), Eric Baronciani (Margaret) and Larry Baronciani (Deceased). She also was a loving aunt who enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews.

Elsa graduated from Malverne High School in 1961 and later earned a degree from Queens College. She enjoyed her career as an Administrative Assistant and paralegal, working for firms in NewYork City and on Long Island.

Elsa was a warm and vibrant woman who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She and Tom traveled extensively to many countries throughout the world. A very creative person, she was the family photographer. She also created beautiful stained glass works, and joyful family memory scrapbooks. After her retirement, Elsa discovered quilting and it soon became her passion. She was an enthusiastic member of the Long Island Quilters’ Society, and continued her quilting with The Piecemakers in The Villages. She shared her love of quilting by creating delightful, personalized pieces for her family and friends.

Elsa enriched us with her presence. She lives now with God, but she will live in our hearts forever.

A memorial service may be planned for the springtime.
