Emily L. Poole, of New Smyrna Beach died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Bert Fish Medical Center with her family by her side. Emily was born July 25, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY. She attended Adelphi University where she met her husband, Arthur Poole. Emily enjoyed playing cards, Mah Jongg, Canasta and she also was a tournament Scrabble competitor. In 1981 she and her husband moved to New Smyrna Beach from New York. Emily was a member of the Smyrna Yacht Club and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, exactly one year ago. Emily is survived by her three devoted children, Scott of New Smyrna Beach, Joyce Pazman of Edgewater and Ross and daughter-in-law, Dorys of Port Orange; five grandchildren, Rae, Kate, Arthur, Anthony, and Angela; brother, Bernard Greco and sister, Rose Marie Spalletta.

I was surprised to see the notice of your Mother's death. Was this sudden? The last time I spoke to one of you, you were hoping she would get into her new place soon.
