Obituary
Erik James Robinson, 49, of Port Orange, Florida died Friday, January 5 from cancer. He was surrounded by his family. Erik was a faithful Christian who deeply loved the Lord. He loved his wife and children and often talked about how God blessed him with a wonderful family. He and his wife recently celebrated their ten-year wedding anniversary. He touched many lives as a kind, gentle and funny husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Erik grew up in Ormond Beach, Florida and graduated from Mainland High School in 1986. After a long career as a plumber, he went back to school and graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in videography and graphic design, and was awarded for successful learning. He was very creative and loved videography, graphic design and web design. Erik worked on many projects from small private companies to develop presentations for major international companies. His media works have participated in exhibitions in “Advertising and Design” in Russia and at the International CPHI Exhibition in Moscow, Madrid and Mumbai https://youtu.be/MCvzJZezFmM. Erik also traveled and edited video in various cities of Russia and Europe such as Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Podolsk, the Republic of San Marino, Rimini and Venice in Italy.
Erik is survived by his beautiful wife Rimma Robinson (Russia) and children Zarina and Amir Khaydarov (Russia). He is also survived by his mother Joan Drake and stepfather Don (Port Orange), sisters Jo Lynn Deal (Steve) and Marissa Buckley, and his nephew Logan Robinson and niece Camryn Buckley, as well as aunts, uncles and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Dennis James Robinson.
A celebration of Erik’s life will be held at Gracelife Church Beachside at 6 Sandra Drive in Ormond-By-The-Sea, Florida, 32176 on Saturday, January 20 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Erik’s wish was for donations to be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center 1400 N. US Highway 441, Lady Lake, FL 32159, or Port Orange Halifax Health Hospice – 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
