Obituary
Eugene Brian Carpenter passed away, age 95, of Edgewater on January 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brian and Georgeanna Carpenter; twin brothers, Don and Doug Carpenter, and sister, Lois Hoke. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Keller Carpenter; daughters, Linda Blalock, Joan Curtis (Cris), and Christine Zayas (Fred). He was also survived by his sister, Marlyn Compel; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He began his career with Allis Chalmers, then IBM as an engineer at Kennedy Space Center in 1966, and received “Space Flight Awareness Reward”, then owner of Tas-T-O Donuts in Titusville.
He saw the positive in everyone, was adventurous and loved the outdoors, especially camping and boating.
We will deeply miss him.

I liked seeing the projects Gene made ranging from the electric cart he made when they lived on Cherrywood Lane to bird house art.
I was always proud of his accomplishments with IBM .
Wish we could have spent more time together.
