Obituary

Evelyn “Lynn” Irene Autenrieb passed away at age 62 on November 10, 2021 in Inverness, Florida at the Citrus Memorial Hospital due to natural causes. Lynn was born on January 25, 1959 in Hollywood, Florida to her parents Robert and Marilynn McDonough who preceded her in death, and is survived by her loving husband of 33 years (Vincent Autenrieb), 2 sons (Sean & Alexander Autenrieb), her sister Joan Archer, 2 brothers (Michael & Robert McDonough), and several nieces, nephews & great nephews who will all miss her loving and caring soul dearly.

Lynn was proud to be counted among the first class to graduate from Hallandale High School in 1977, and from Barry University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Studies. She began her work life in the Banking industry where she advanced through increasingly more responsible roles until the final decades of her life which she dedicated to the service of others, overseeing the care of her ill mother for many years, volunteering her time to help at her sons’ schools as well as in her local Catholic Parish, while always making time to unselfishly help others whenever needed. After living in south Florida for many years, Lynn moved to Central Florida in 2007 where she spent her remaining time as a loving wife and mother.

Those who knew and loved Lynn say she was an outspoken, kind-hearted, gentle soul who always availed herself to those in need. She was also very proud of her Irish heritage and lit up every room she entered with a sparkle in her eye and a gentle lilt in her voice. She was an inspiration to many and was quick with a motivational saying for every occasion. Some of her favorites:

“May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face…”  -Traditional Gaelic Blessing

“May joy and peace surround you, contentment latch your door. And happiness be with you now and bless you evermore.”  -Irish Blessing

“We live and die by the choices we make” -Quoting her Grandma

Lynn was a very kind soul. When I first met her back in 2005, we were both in the mortgage industry and talked for several hours about our underwriting stories. Lynn also was a great person to ask advice on pretty much any subject, she always seemed to have a perfect answer. When our Justin reflects on his memories of her, he said she was ask how's school going, if he said ok, she gave some positive things for it to be better than just ok. She will surely be missed. Heaven has gained another guardian Angel.

I am beyond blessed to have met Lynn in the 9th grade, and to have called her "my sister from another mister." Lynn was such a beautiful soul. In all the years we'd known each other, not once did I ever see her without a beautiful smile across her face; not once did she ever speak an unpleasant or cross word; not once did I ever hear her speak an untruth; and not once did she ever stop being my best friend, though distance and time separated us, quite sadly. She was a very special person and always will be.

My heart is beyond broken for all of you: Vince, Sean, Alex, Joanie, Robbie, Mike, and your extended family. Lynn was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family more than life itself, and was especially proud of her two sons. Sean and Alex, I know you will hold on to the memories and the lessons she has taught you. Please know that I love you as if you were my own sons, and that you are most welcome to reach out to me 24/7/365 if ever you need anything!

May God hold each and every one of you in his loving embrace, and provide comfort during this time of extreme sadness.

We were so shocked to hear the news of Lynn’s death. Lynn and I have been “pen pals” over the recent years. I wrote/sent cards as often as I could not expecting Lynn to respond with her busy medical schedule. Her last card to me was after Mother’s Day. Included in her words written: “Thank you for your lovely cards of encouragement. They keep me smiling daily.” (mission accomplished)
Vincent, family and friends: I am so sorry for the pain you have in your hearts and souls. I pray the memories of the Lynn’s life and her dedication to you and others bring your hearts joy. Vincent- as you grieve and mourn Lynn’s death, remember, no matter time of day, we are just a phone call away. Love always, Jon-Mark & Jo Davey

Lynn, Was Always quick with a kind word. She filled the room with positive energy when she walked into the room. Always kindhearted and mindful of others. Her generous heart took in all who needed help or encouragement. Heaven has gain a real gem. We will all feel a great loss. May we be consoled in the fact she is Home with our father. No one can ever replace the void left behind. If we all rally together we can help each other through this. (to Lynn) May god bless you and always hold you in his heart.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Lynn and I pray for Vincent, Sean and Alex to find the strength during this time of loss. We were all so blessed to have met Lynn and enjoy her company, kind words and smile in her attendance to Kim and Joe's wedding. Her presence was such an important part of this intimate affair and she found the energy and will to attend simply because of her love for Kimberly. Such an honor. She lives in our memories that we all shared together that special weekend and we treasure her love that she offered. May peace during her soul and God hold her in the hole of his hand. Amen.

My cousin Lynn was like the sister I never had. I will miss talking on the phone for hours on end about family and memories from the past including her beautiful children Alex and Sean. She was one of the only people that would keep the “Murphy girls”, list up to date and acted as the monarch of the family. Her family meant everything to her and she was grateful that her husband Vince tendered to her every need. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and she will be in our hearts forever.

    I will miss you kiddo.

    -Cousin Patty and Family ❤️
