Everett D. “Mack” McCormick came in to this world on August 4, 1946 and left this world 78 years later on the exact same date of August 4, 2024 in the middle of a tropical storm, no less.
That’s my darlin Mack. He enjoyed challenges but mostly surprising other people.
Hats off to you Mack! Not many people can top that exit!
Everett aka Denny was born in Logan, Ohio in the family house. He dearly loved his country upbringing including lots of fishing, hunting and hanging out with his siblings, cousins and friends.
He was in the US Navy, law enforcement, knifemaking and he was an artist among other job titles that he truly enjoyed.
He loved his family most of all!
He left behind his wife of 35 years Connie McCormick and children Bud McCormick (OH), Jim McCormick (OH), Pat McCormick (FL), Tia Byrd McCormick (FL), Tawna DeLong (IN), Jimmy Baxter (FL).
Grandchildren: Eli McCormick (WA), Sami McCormick (OH), Erika McCormick (OH), Corey McCormick (TN), Alysha McCormick (FL), Hannah McCormick (FL), Jonathan Smith (KS), Danielle Beauchamp (MI), Kate Byrd (SC), James Baxter (FL) and Charlotte Baxter (FL); plus eight beautiful great-granddaughters!
Siblings: Glenna Miller (OH), Charles Edward Shahan (MO),Wanda Toops (OH).
Joe Smathers (OH), Evelyn Phillips (OH), George Smathers- deceased, John Smathers- deceased, Bonnie Smathers (OH).
