Evonne was born on September 18, 1933 in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY, to parents Yvette and Milton Seizer. At age 18, she became a Radio City Music Hall Rockette. Evonne went on to become a professional dancer, where she toured and worked with many of the greats of that era.
Evonne was fortunate enough to own her own dance studio where she passed her love of dance and creativity on to her students.
She called Brooklyn, NY home for 84 years. She was a proud resident of the city and loved her friends, neighbors, and the community. No one loved the N.Y. Mets and the N.Y. Yankees more than Evonne. She could talk about the game of baseball better than anybody!
The only thing that Evonne loved more than dancing, teaching, and her beloved N.Y. teams was her family. She was most proud of her daughters and her grandchildren.
Evonne’s family and friends will forever remember her for her infectious smile, carefree attitude, amazing dance moves, and beautiful blue eyes.
Evonne will be missed more than words can convey… Fly free and dance mom…
