Obituary
Faye A. Bethel, 74, of Bokeelia, FL formerly of Tavares, FL passed away on February 28, 2019 at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral. She was born on August 6, 1944 in Raiford, FL to the late Donald Scott Alvarez and Vera (Griffis) Alvarez. Faye worked as an Account Executive in Advertising, retiring from the Orlando Sentinel after 39 years. She was a life member of the VFW Post 4353, member of the Moose Lodge 1954, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 136. Faye enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping, and her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Bethel of Bokeelia, FL; her daughter, Tahanee Horner (Mark Wiley) of Tavares, FL; her step-son, Mark Bethel Jr. (Julie) of Springfield, OH; her step-daughter, Nicole Gadsden of Bokeelia, FL; her brother, Jimmy Alvarez (Joyce) of Raiford, FL; her brother, Wayne Alvarez of Branford, FL; her sister, Glenda S. Lewis (Danny) of Keystone, FL; her sister, Linda P. Robinson (Joe) of Brooker, FL; her 6 grandchildren, and her 6 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Faye will be held on March 16, 2019 at 11:00 am at the American Legion Post 136, St. James City, FL. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Affordable Cremations by Baldwin Brothers, Ft. Myers, FL.
