Obituary
Felix Ortiz Cruz (Papo) 64, of Lehigh Acres went to be with his Lord after a long struggle with cancer on Saturday February 8th, 2020. Papo loved serving the Lord. He was an active member of Camino de Salvacion Church. He took pride in his church duties as leader of the ushers. Outside of church he loved fishing and eating (especially sweets).
He was a beloved husband of Vilma Ortiz Cruz for 38 years. He was a father/father-in-law to Carmen (Spiro) Leris, Ruth (Mitchell) Melotte, Felix Jr. (Carmen) Ortiz, Ismael (Dilenny) Diaz, Merari (Edwin) Mendez. He was a proud grandpa to Nathalia, Ashley, Meraliz, Nathaneal, Morgan, Meleidy, Gabriela, Alysha, Jeremy, Elizmery, Efrain(Papichi), Elianny, Ruthy, Faith, Dilianny, Dianny, Brittney, Amber and Isaac.
He was preceded in death by his mother Rosa Cruz, his father Felix Ortiz Ramos, his brothers Jose Antonio Ortiz and Jorge Ortiz. He also leaves behind his brothers Luis (Marisol) Ortiz and Alex Cruz. His sisters Aurea Reyes Ortiz (Javier), Eufemia (Ovidio) Rosario, Mariam (Juan) Ferreras, Wanda Cruz and Crystal Cruz. He was also uncle of many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Felix to his family c/o Ruth Diaz.
