Obituary

Fico was born in Miami, Florida. Hew taught mathametics at New Smyrna Beach  High School and was an avid surfer and musician. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 28 years Deb, his mother Teresa Fernandez, children Zale, Kino, Ysa, siblings Teresa Clark, Jessie (Michelle) Fernandez, Siobhan Hahn, Joel (Diane) Crimmons and Carlos Fernandez, Jr. Life Celebration and paddle out will be 5:00 PM Sunday, September 4 on the beach at Sapphire Road Park New Smyrna Beach.

    Dear Family, I would like to express my sincere condolences at the loss of your dear loved one. Please be assured that your tears are not unnoticed by the Creator of Life. Although your deep pain will not easily disappear, praying to God will bring comfort to you as you grieve. The Bible tells us that God is "healing the broken-hearted ones and is binding up their painful spot (Psalm 147:3). May the "Father of tender mercies" and the "God of all comfort" strengthen your faith and give you courage to face the days ahead (2 Corinthians 1:3). My sincere condolences to the family.

    Fico made such an everlasting impact on so many, including me, for which I'm so grateful. He is missed dearly.
