Obituary
Rex Dupler, 95 of Punta Gorda, Florida and formerly of New Albany, Ohio passed away February 4, 2022. Rex was born July 27, 1926 in Logan, Ohio to Russell and Gladys Dupler. He graduated from Logan High School in 1944; joined the Navy and served in WWII on the USS BonHomme Richard aircraft carrier from 1944-1946.
Rex married the love of his life, Alice Snider on August 31, 1947. They resided in New Albany from 1957-1990. After retiring they moved to Punta Gorda and celebrated 74 years together.
Rex worked for the Operating Engineers for fifty years; was a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge.
Rex is survived by his wife, two sons Rick (Rita) Dupler, Newark, Ohio, Kim (Cindy) Dupler, Morris, Illinois. He had 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jay, Bob, Wayne and daughter-in-law, Marsha Dupler.
Per his wishes there is no service. Rex will be cremated and laid to rest at a later date in Sarasota National Cemetery, Florida.
