Obituary

Frances DeLillo, longtime resident of Apopka, FL, died on February 22, 2021 in Altamonte Springs, FL.  She was 92.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Frances moved to Apopka, FL in 1977. She enjoyed a long career as an office manager, a job she relished so much that she chose to work into her late 70s.  She possessed the gift of making friends with almost everyone she met, a trait she kept right up to the end of her life. A lover of the simple pleasures of life, Frances treasured long conversations with family or friends, good Italian food, saucy jokes, and a sense of adventure. Frank Sinatra’s New York, New York always got her singing and dancing—proof that you can take a girl out of Brooklyn, but you can’t take Brooklyn out of a girl. A devout Seventh-day Adventist, she believed in the power of the resurrection and in the saving gift of Christ’s grace. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Frances is survived by her son, Rick DeLillo of Apopka, FL, her brother, Richard Rizzo of Visalia, CA, three nieces, a nephew, and numerous friends. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Pasquale DeLillo of Apopka, FL, and her brother, Daniel Rizzo of Westborough, MA.

At her request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to a charity of your choice.

Mom DeLillo and her son Rick had an amazing relationship. I was fortunate to have spent many days in her presents listening to her tell stories from the bible and her days in Brooklyn. You were one classy and beautiful lady who will be missed so much, by so many. Love you Mom D.
