Frances A. Jones (Pat) passed from Earth to Heaven on November 3^rd.  She began her earthly journey in South Carolina and often spoke of the farm that she grew up on.  It always brought a smile to her face when she reminisced about the hundreds of chickens that they raised, except for the part where she had to tend to them before school.  Life brought her to the Orlando area, which is where she met her partner for life, our Dad, Fletcher Jones.  Over the years, she would take different jobs, always in an effort to bridge the gap between survival and providing something special for her family.  She was a Substitute Teacher and assistant Librarian in the Orange County School system, she wrapped gifts at local department stores and many other interesting occupations.  She attended church regularly and raised her family the same way.  She believed that her faith and trust in God was the one main pillar in life that would never fail her.

She was very proud of her family and together we make up many sons, daughters, grandkids and great grandkids.  We made special efforts to gather for most holidays as that was what made her the happiest, especially Christmas.  It brought her great joy to have everyone around while someone read the Christmas Story from the Bible.

When it comes to hobbies or outside interests, her family was it.  Every thought centered around how to mend what had been or how to prepare for what was to come.  The daily grind of school, lunches, transportation and making sure we had the things we needed were all that kept her busy.  As life wore on, her kids moved on with life and Dad’s health declined, she became his sole caregiver, once again taking care of her family.

When the time is right, we’ll have a celebratory gathering in honor of her.  And while we miss her, we know that she was thrilled to be together once again with Fletcher, and we will be reunited someday.
