Obituary
Frances Maginn (Nee: Pia) of Fort Myers passed away on September 30, 2023 at the Life Care Center of Estero.
Private Cremation has been arranged along with a Celebration of Life which will be held in late October on Long Island. A private burial at sea will take place at a later date.
Fran was born on March 14, 1941, to Vincent and Raffaela Pia (nee: Carella) in Manhattan, NY
She attended PS94 in Manhattan, NY and graduated from Julia Richman High School in Greenwich Village, NY.
Frances worked as a Branch Manager for Suffolk County Federal Savings/Long Island Savings Bank until her retirement in 1998. As a Branch Manager, V.P., she was involved with the Hauppauge Industrial Association, Rotary, and Kiwanis.
Fran was also involved with the Irish Terrier Club of NY, and the Irish Terrier Club of America as a breeder and handler of Show Dogs. Her beautiful dogs won many ribbons.
Fran was preceded in death by both of her parents, her sister Marie, and Brother-in-law, Harry Ritter.
Frances is survived by her partner of 35 years, Judith Antunovich, her daughter and son-in-law Karen and Kevin Poidomani, her son and daughter-in-law Peter D. and Mary Maginn, her “step” children, Lynn Antunovich and her husband Jason Moreland, Jessica Antunovich and her husband Anthony Hussey, and her 8 grandchildren: Jonathan Corona, Patrick Poidomani, Kerrin Penna and her husband Raymond Penna, Brianna Maginn, Darien Maginn, Shane Moreland and Jagger Hussey.

Also, many thanks to Hope Hospice staff Stacy, Sierra, and Jackie; for showing Fran such kindness, compassion and allowing her to maintain her dignity.
A light has gone dark on earth and now shines up above.
