Obituary

This is an obituary for a son who passed away too soon from complications from a long-term illness at 6:30pm on Sunday the 19th.

Francis L. Bowling was born November 11th, 1978 in Jacksonville Florida to Mary Thomas and Charles Edward Bowling Francis was a loving son and best friend to his mother, Mary.

Known to his close friends as ‘Smurf”, he is survived by his mother Mary, brothers Clarence and Frank (wife Faith), sons Francis Bowling jr and Mathew Woodward, granddaughter Elizabeth Dawn, nieces Kayla bowling, Tiffany Bowling, Breana Bowling, Nephews Cody Kelly (wife Sarah), grand nephews Jackson and Aiden Kelly, great niece Loralai Speckman

Francis lived in Jacksonville for most of his life, but moved to the Orlando area four years ago to be under the care of Mary. He was roofer by trade from the age of seventeen. Francis was an avid Falcons and GA Bulldogs fan and could endlessly name past players and statistics. From an early age he loved the beach, and video games, tattoos. Over the last two years he enjoyed his faithful companion pitbull Loki. They both enjoyed the space and peace of their new home Eustis.

Francis’s Mother Mary extends her heartfelt thanks to the health-care professionals at St. Judes, Orlando Central Ocoee and Advent Health waters circle  for their care and commitment for Francis over the past three years.

Mary would like to thank his extended Liberty Tax family….staff, customers, and students for all their support, check ins, and prayers

Friends and family will be invited to a celebration of life on Daytona beach at a later date this spring

For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, Francis’s family would appreciate help with his final expenses   https://www.gofundme.com/f/francis-l-bowling-final-expenses?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1
