Obituary
Francis C Harding, age 79, died peacefully in his home in Orlando, on December 7, 2021.
He is survived by Violet his beloved wife of 55 years and his children, Joy Smith, Ruben Bivins and Jeffery Bivins, all of Orlando; and his granddaughters, Janice Yates and Brandi Bivins and step-granddaughters, Regina Gates and Summer Shook; his 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Felix Poczwardowski-Harding; his mother, Helen Zbonzy; and his daughter, Janet Springer.
He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1942, to parents Felix Harding and Helen Zbozny. He attended high school in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from University of Alaska with honors. He had a distinguished career in the Army and retired a Master Sergeant. He served in the Vietnam War, was a tank commander, a drill sergeant and served in other roles. He received multiple medals and honors during his career in the Army. After retiring he worked with the Federal US Postal Service where he retired after 21 years. He was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Church and served as a member of the Knight of Columbus for 10 years.
