Obituary
Frank Edward McGrail, 89, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2024.
He was born in Hudson, Wisconsin to Edward and Mina McGrail. Frank was one of three children. He received a degree in liberal arts from the University of Minnesota, and later was a trombonist in the U.S. Army Band.
Frank married his first wife Elayne and they raised a family of 8 children; Ellen McGrail (Tony Gordon), Patricia Scott, Gregory McGrail (Susan), Martha Skeeters (Mike), Jennifer Grimmer (Doug), David McGrail, Dewey McGrail and Molly McGrail.
Frank’s career in insurance took the family from Minnesota to Texas to Georgia. After Elayne’s death, Frank moved to The Villages, Florida and married Dorothy Fleming. Dorothy has 4 children from her first marriage; Tom, John, Pam and Sandy.
Frank and Dottie spent the last 20 years together in The Villages, “where it’s always a beautiful day”, which was one of his favorite sayings.
Frank is survived by 7 of his children, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by Elayne Esterley McGrail and Molly McGrail.
Respecting Franks’ wishes, there will be no funeral services.
