Obituary

Frank Dennis Meddick, 66, of Ocala, FL; lost his battle with lung cancer on April 18, 2016. He was born to the late John Adam and Grace (nee: Bickle) Meddick on July 5, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan.  He is survived by his wife, Kathy Kartmann Meddick; daughters Amy Kozle, Lisa Robbins, and Sara Meddick; grandchildren Alexandria Kozle, Emma Kozle, Sam Kozle, and Bobby Marans; brother Carl J Meddick and his wife Patricia; and  brother Don T Meddick and his wife Jennifer.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and all of his loving wife’s family. A private memorial service will be held in Michigan at a later date. Arrangements by: Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home and Cremation, Ocala, FL.

    As I was going through Mom’s apartment, I saw the wood carving that Frank created for her. She has it hanging proudly on her wall. It was a replica of the house on Brace and has the address on the front door. It reminded me of the fun times we had at that house with Frank. My heart goes out you and all those who knew Frank. I am so happy you got to spend 30 years with him but I wish we all had 30 more.

    Hi my love. I am glad you are at peace now but I will miss you so much. You fought so hard and so bravely for so long but in the end cancer won. Like you kept saying: I hate cancer. Me too, sweetie, me too.
