Obituary

Franko went home to the Lord suddenly, on August 2, 2014. He is survived by his only son, Eric Crenshaw, of Chicago, two brothers, Bud and John Crenshaw, and two sisters, Gloria Mitchell and Paula Crenshaw. He has two uncles, Chip Crenshaw and Bob Karr, two aunts, Kitty Karr, and Shirley Crenshaw, many nieces and nephews. A carpenter by trade until Kidney Disease struck him ten years ago. He came to Edgewater FL to escape the harsh winters of Chicago and begin the journey for a transplant program. He found Dr Latif and Dr Mataeo of Halifax Transplant Services. The race was on. Through the several years of trials and tribulations success was celebrated on June 27, 2010 and a transplant was successful. We gave thanks for the joy of his life and prayers the family in their tragedy and unselfish act of love for their donation. His passion was making simple furniture and jewelry boxes. A humble man, he lived each day to the fullest.. His love of life filled his days with joy and happiness. On any given day, you would find him in the garage working with a piece of wood and wondering how to make it better. A celebration of his life will be held on August 9th, 20 14 at 3422 Umbrella Tree Drive Edgewater Florida 32141.

My deepest condolences go out to Gloria & family of Franko. I didn't know him well, but had the pleasure of meeting & seeing him at various gatherings over the past 5 years. He was always smiling and was easy to chat with. His expertise and talent with woodworking was most impressive and I'm very glad I have one of his pieces which I will always cherish.
