Obituary

Franklin James Marr, 78, of Titusville, Florida, born November 26, 1942 in Ashtabula OH, passed away December 22, 2020 of bilateral pneumonia as a result of having COVID-19.

Frank was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Verretta Busse.

Frank is survived by his wife of 40 years Mary Marr. His children Jeff Marr (Tiffany), Michelle Bishop (Mike), Kim Bostic (Don), Rick Othmer (Deanna) and Russell  Othmer (Sarah).  Frank has 10 grandchildren, Kristen Vansky (Anthony), Casey Bishop, Alexis Favata, Taylor Marr, Lileean Othmer, Emma Othmer, Logan Othmer,  Olivia Othmer, Aylani Othmer and Jace Othmer and 3 great grandchildren, Ciara Vansky, Hayden Vansky and Axel Sorci.

Frank served in the United States Army E-3-6 Berlin, CWF.  He was known as Coach Marr at the IRC Little League baseball fields for over 15 years.

Frank worked at Kennedy Space Center for EG&G/SGS as Supervisor Material Management 1979-2003.

He also was a long time golf member at La Cita Country club in Titusville.  He left there to begin his fishing and shrimping adventures.  After retirement in 2003, Frank took up his teenage love for drag racing Orlando Speedway and Pinks All Out…2Marrs Racing.

Frank was the most trust-worthy and sincere person you could ever meet.  He was a dedicated husband, loving father to his children and best Papa ever to his grandchildren and a good friend if you were on the friend list.  He was a true American and let everyone know about it.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.  Any donations may be directed in his name to Indian River City Little League, 300 Little League Lane, Titusville, FL 32780

    Frank was a friend of mine for many years....he was a real great person....we played cards for years...Frank will be greatly missed...Gone to soon....Best wishes and deepest sympathy to the family.....
