Freddie Lee Cook, 71, of Port Orange, FL. and formerly of Barboursville, WV passed away on December 2, 2010. He was born on July 29th, 1939 in Barboursville, WV to Glenn and Edna Rayburn Cook. Freddie loved fishing, boating, and going to the beach. He loved his family more than anything. He will be missed by family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; sisters, Ellen Spradling of Huntington, WV and Margaret Paugh of Huntington, WV; brother, Larry (Connie) Cook of Mt. Sterling, Ohio. two sons, Freddie Joe (Karen) of Barboursville, WV and Randall Lee (BryAnn) of Ona, WV; two stepsons, Todd (Lori) Smith of San Antonio, TX, Eric (Missy) Smith of Huntington, WV ; five grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Cook, Jennifer Cook, Crystal Cook, Yancey Cook; stepchildren, Alicia Smith, Tanner Smith, Bradi Smith and Shaun Smith; Mother and Father-in-law, Helen and Roger Hagan; brother and sister in law, Jim and Linda Davis. Special people in his life, Aunt and Uncles, Lorraine and Tate Adams, Dorthy Turley; Friends who were there during his tuffest times, Don Helton, Chuck and Lynn Becker, Kathy Roach, Dr. Peter Singh and his staff at the dialysis center, whom he loved; Dr. Arthur Crossman and his staff, Hospice Team Vitals and especially to the Chaplain Laura and his nurse, Kelly Roberts. And his little maltese dog “Shane”, who was his napping buddy.
A Memorial Service in his honor will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 2:00pm at Gethsemane United Baptist Church in Barboursville.
