Obituary

Gail Marie Orr, of Lady Lake, Florida, passed away on November 2, 2025, surrounded by her husband and children.

Gail was born in Ottawa, Illinois on September 28, 1954 to Fred and Cecelia Crisler. She graduated from Ottawa Township High School in 1972.

She moved to The Villages in Lady Lake, Florida with her husband in 2021 where she enjoyed sunshine, playing shuffleboard, pétanque, Splish Splash water volleyball games, and many games of Euchre with friends and family. In her spare time, she also enjoyed sewing, Sudoku, walking the several Village squares, attending trivia nights, and weekends watching the Green Bay Packers.

Gail is survived by her loving husband of almost 49 years, George A. Orr; son, George E. (Katie) Orr of Orlando, FL; daughter Gina (David) Martinez of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, Keira Martinez, Logan Orr, and Luke Orr; two brothers, Fred (Charla) Crisler and Keith (Sandra) Crisler; one sister, Penny (Doug) Boose; and a loving extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Cecelia Crisler, and her sister, Dianna Martin.

A Celebration of Gail’s life will be held on November 8, 2025 at 2:30 pm at La Hacienda Recreation Center in Lady Lake, Florida. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her honor.

    I have many memories of Gail growing up. Our family would get together and our parents would play cards. Great cousin time. She also was our babysitter. Lol Of the stories I could tell. I will miss her. RIP Gail
