Obituary

With a deep sense of loss, we announce the passing of Gary Brice Grafton. He died peacefully at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres, Florida on May 22, 2021 after a long battle with multiple myeloma. He was 83 years old.
Born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, Gary moved to Denver, CO in the late 1950’s to work on the Titan missile project after his years in the Army. After meeting his wife Marjorie, he returned to Ohio to join his father Clark in the trucking business. Later he drove for, and retired from, Rodeway Express. After retirement he and Marge traveled by car or RV all over the US and Canada. They moved full time to Fort Myers, Florida in 2018 after many years of wintering there. He enjoyed cars – particularly Mustang convertibles, road trips, and Ohio State football.
Gary lost Marge, his wife of 60 years, in January. He leaves his children Julie MacKenzie (Geoff) and Steve (Jackie Farrell), grandson Ethan MacKenzie, sister Judy Kaminski, and brother Alan Grafton (Nancy) and nieces and nephews.
Interment at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Fort Myers will be private.

My condolences are extended to Steve and Julie and their many relatives. Steve, I met you years ago on 12/24 at the Ohio house. Bus was still alive and I played the piano and he sang along. We are related on the Wolf/Stahler side of the family. Our grandmothers are sisters. I googled to see if Marge and Gary were still in Florida and this is what I found. I had no idea both had passed.
When we moved to Ohio I heard I had a relative nearby, we were in Wadsworth, and was thrilled. I arranged to meet your mother for lunch at Rolling Acres and when she walked in I knew immediately she was a Stahler. Your mom and dad were wonderful people and they were at my father's visitation when he passed. So were Eileen and Vera. Stahler cousins always did show up.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Steve and Julie for the loss of your father Gary and mother Marge. My wife and I became good friends with both your parents when Marge and Lorraine worked for the friends of the library in Cuyahoga Falls. They always spoke very highly of their children and grandson. My love and prayers are with you.
