Obituary
Mrs. Gelinda Kay (Osborn) Egri, 71, formerly of Oklahoma and California; passed peacefully into eternal life the afternoon of Thursday, January 26th, 2023 while in the care of LaBelle Health and Rehabilitation, LaBelle, Florida, following a recent illness.
Born on Monday, January 21, 1952 in Elk City, Oklahoma, she was the only child to the late Robert and Retta Fay (Jones) Osborn. Following the family’s relocation to the west coast, she was educated in the California schools.
Gelinda began her career in California, first working in medical billing and later being employed in the accounting departments of prominent construction companies prior to her retirement.
In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting; meticulously creating several items she would share with family and friends over the years.
Above all else, Gelinda is best remembered as being a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her adoring family. Her presence will be greatly missed by all those she touched in this life.
She and her husband, John recently celebrated forty-nine years of married life together on December 14th, 2022.
Sadly, just prior to the couple’s anniversary, they would bid farewell to their daughter, Amanda Jacob on November 21, 2022.
Left to cherish the memories they keep of her in addition to her beloved husband John, are a son, John David Egri III; Grandchildren, Brendan Jacob, Jade Jacob, Harper Egri and Great Grandchild, Emery Miller; along with several cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
The West Colonial location of Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society is honored to care for Mrs. Egri and her family at this time. Those wishing to share online words of comfort or a fond remembrance of Gelinda with her family, are encouraged to do so on her memorial page.
My sincerest sympathies to you John and family.
