I was so sorry to hear that Gene passed away. We used to have a great time back in the neighborhood. We rode bicycles all over North Bessemer and beyond. We built a log cabin in the woods behind our homes and used it as our clubhouse. We’d go there and smoke cigarettes and look at Playboy magazines. I just started writing my life history for my daughters when I decided to research some people from my past when I came across his death notice. I’m sorry to hear about his passing at such a young age. God Bless you my old friend.
