Obituary
Gene Francis Ciccarelli, 78, died peacefully in his sleep on January 18, 2023. He was born August 25, 1944 in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of Anthony and Betty (Andriano) Ciccarelli.
Gene attended college at West Virginia University, where he was a celebrated football player for the WVU Mountaineers.
Gene married his wife, Patricia, and in 1980 they settled in Plantation, FL, with their two daughters. While in Florida, Gene finished his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Nova Southeastern. Gene became the Deputy Port Director for Port Everglades Authority; a job he was very passionate about. In 2012, Gene and Patricia moved to The Villages, Florida to spend their retirement years in relaxation. Gene and Patricia celebrated their 54 years of marriage on July 20, 2022.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Patricia (Basil) Ciccarelli, are his daughters, Allison Vido and Kimberly Mummey; five grandchildren, Isabella Vido, Madelyn Vido, Chelsea Vido, Ava Mummey and Ryan Mummey; two sisters, Toni Kukura and her husband Walt, and Mary Ann Balam; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gene was predeceased by his 2 brothers, Harry and Ralph.
A service of remembrance will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 at 1:45 pm at: Buffalo Crossings, 3890 Woodridge Drive, First Floor, The Villages, FL 32162.
