George Arthur Larsen, 80 of Edgewater formerly of Elyria, Ohio died Thursday, November 17, 2011 with his daughters and family by his side. George was born April 24, 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts. He resided in Boston until he was a young man then moving to Elyria, OH. There he raised his seven children and worked as a Real Estate Appraiser. George moved to Edgewater in 2008 to get out of the cold and fulfill a lifetime dream of living in Florida. He was a devoted member of the Moose Lodge, Dolphin Club and the American Legion. George was knowledgeable in almost everything and enjoyed a good debate about Demarcated politics. He was fun loving, talkative and the Best Father to his children who will miss him dearly. George was preceded in death by his wife, Jane, two children, Gregg and Robin Larsen and two grandchildren. He is survived by five devoted children, Debbie and son-in-law, Joe Timmons of San Marcos, CA, Wanda and son-in-law, Mike Carney of Elyria, OH, Jody Larsen of Elyria, OH, Mark and daughter-in-law, Mel Larsen of Lee, NH and Tami Esty and future son-in-law, Rick Bryzowski of Edgewater, FL; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A Life Celebration will be held 11:00AM, Monday, November 21, 2011 at Edgewater Union Church, 500 South Ridgewood Avenue, Edgewater.
