Obituary
George Raymond Austin of Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away on April 17, 2021. He was 75 years old. George was born on December 16, 1945 in Chicago, IL, to the late Raymond George Austin and Mary Ellen (Kelly) Austin.
During his working life, George used his skills as a carpenter before retiring to Florida where he had spent the last 20 years. One of his most honorable duties was serving our country in the United States Army. He was a member of the VFW and a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Among many things George loved to do, he enjoyed carpentry, fishing, golfing, traveling, dedicating his time to the VFW where he was a member, loved swimming in the pool with his dogs Murphy, Molly and Tripper and loved spending time with all his friends at Buster’s and the Royal Order of the Moose where he was also a member.
George is survived by his daughters, Georgann Austin and Melissa Austin, his granddaughter, Hannah Walczak, his girlfriend Sue Walter and his beloved dog, Tripper Austin.
