George Smith of Ft. Myers, Fl. formerly of Erie, Pa passed away April 17, 2018. He was born on January 16, 1936 in Erie, PA. George graduated from East High in 1955. He was a Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy. George retired from Lord Corp. after 38 yrs. in Quality Control. He and his wife Dottie moved to Ft. Myers, Fl. in 1998. George played softball and umpired through most of his career. He loved to golf, go to Sanibel with Dottie, and pool time. He was a Cleveland fan all the way! He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Dottie) Kooken Smith 2005 & a grand daughter Clara Lee Adamski 2000. He is survived by his children Cynthia Smith of Ft. Myers, Fl., Candy Adamski of Erie, Pa. and Barry Smith (Beth) of Antioch, TN. Grand children Katrina Schaefer, Arica Adamski, Bradley Smith. One brother James Smith, One brother in law Donald Kooken and( Sandra). Several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service to be held at Memorial Gardens at later date.
