Stormy married his soulmate Linda Janet Callahan in May of 1966. He was an educator for twenty years, and was self employed for fifteen years building log homes in the mountains of western North Carolina. In the mid ‘80s Stormy and his family moved to Florida where he worked as a guidance counselor. Upon his retirement, Stormy and Janet established a tutoring business, A Place to Learn, for elementary students. After his second retirement, Stormy wrote two novels.

Always an educator at heart, he insisted that his students, friends, and family alike, pursue the truth wherever it may lead.
