Obituary

Gerald Harvey Goldstein, 79, Port Orange, Florida passed peacefully at his residence on April 24, 2016, after a period of longsuffering and pain.  Gerald was born on November 1, 1936 in New York, New York to the late Irwin and Florence Wallach Goldstein. A Veteran of the United States Army, he spent most of his working years as an Engineer. He also was a world traveler and an avid reader, among his many other hobbies. He is survived by his loving wife, Paula Barrett Goldstein of Port Orange, Florida; his daughter, Ilene O’Donnell of Belair, Maryland; his son, Adam Goldstein of Carlsbad, California; his stepdaughter, Devon Greer of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his 2 brothers; Alan Goldstein of Delray Beach, FL and Steve Goldstein of Virginia Beach, VA; and his eight grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the B’nai Torah Jewish Temple, N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremations.

God saw that he was getting tired, a cure

was not to be, so he put his arms around him

and whispered “Come with Me”. With tearful

eyes, day by day we watched him slowly slip

away. Although we loved him dearly, we could

not make him stay. We saw him suffer in

such pain. But now we know he is pain free,

and in God’s hands. We miss him every day,

and though we would love to have him back,

his body was so frail and tired, ready to

leave this world. We know this life is not the

end, and we will someday see you again.

Now rest in peace our beloved man

We love you always and forever.
