Obituary
Gerald Lee Corbett, 79, an Ocala area resident since 1980, passed away August 30, 2016. He was born May 1, 1937, in Princeton, ME., to Harry and Grace Corbett and was a retired military veteran of over 21 years serving in the US Air Force and US Coast Guard. Additionally, he was retired from the State of Florida Department of Corrections, where he spent the majority of his tenure as a Vocational Cabinet Making Instructor. He was very active in various organizations including 46 years as a Free & Accepted Mason, Shriners, the American Legion and Veterans of Underage Military Service. He is survived by his two sons, Jerry L. Corbett of Oxford, FL. and Robert K. Corbett of Pompano Beach, FL.; as well as four grandchildren (Cindy, Jenny, Angie and Mike) and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Baldwin Brothers’ Heritage Chapel (954 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala 352-236-5884) on Saturday, Sept. 10th from 1-2PM. Funeral Services will follow at 2PM at the Funeral Home.
