Obituary
Gerald Raymond Sullivan, 74, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024. He was born to the late Henry and Anna Rose Sullivan on August 15, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
After graduating from Deland High School, and several part time jobs, Gerald found a career with the Florida Power Corporation, now Duke energy, at Turner Plant in Enterprise, Florida then transferred to the coal Power Plant in Crystal River, Florida. He obtained the role of Chief Plant Operator before retiring at age 55. He enjoyed and excelled working in the energy sector for over 30 years.
His family will remember his love of sports, especially the Pittsburgh sports teams. He enjoyed taking road trips and beach vacations. Gerald enjoyed spending time with his family and pets.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gwendolyn Sullivan; his daughter Courtney Sullivan; his daughter Kimberly McColl and husband Mark McColl; son Timothy Sullivan; and sister Eileen Bradley.
