Obituary
Gerald Thomas Hardin, Born December 2, 1942 at St. Johns hospital in Anderson, IN. His
parents saved the bill from the hospital and Tom always loved to tell you he only cost 50 dollars. He enlisted in the Army in 1960. He was first sent to training in Colorado and then to California for special combat training. He was stationed in Alaska for his first couple years and then finished in Kansas City. Tom worked at General Motors for 34 years. He was a long time member of the UAW local 662 and was an outstanding committeeman. He had a lot of friends and buddies to ride motorcycles with. Tom will be greatly missed by his partner and wife for over 30 years, his family and many friends.
Surviving are: his wife, Vickie Rust Hardin, of Anderson, IN; sister, Cathy Vaughn, & husband, John, and nephew, John Jr. and niece Hope of Ann Arbor, MI; brother, Jim Hardin, & wife Diana, preceded in death by nephew, Jeff Hardin and niece, Tammy Hardin of Anderson, IN; cousin, Steve Hardin, & wife, Judy, Anderson of IN; daughter, Lisa Wilkenson, & husband Darrel, grandchildren Charity and Bob, great grand-daughter, Memorie of WI; Terri Chism, daughter, preceded in death by husband Brad, son, Ryan, daughter Brea Powell, husband Christopher, great-grandchildren Brenden and Cami and daughter Kayleigh Shane; son, Scott Hardin, & wife Amy, grandchildren Ashley, Morgan, Skylar and Hunter and great grandsons, Zachary and Zander of Anderson, IN; daughter, Cindy Mills, grandsons Dustin and Joshua of Ft. Myers, FL; daughter, Sandi Karr, & husband Tom, grand children Richie, Ryan and Kaitlin of Ft.
