You were my stepfather - but, you were my dad :) The only man I've ever thought of as my dad and I miss you so much - You would adore your great granddaughter, Violet, and she would adore you - she's so much like my mom! The last time I saw you was on Gabe's 18th birthday in York Harbor, ME - such a wonderful (snowy!) visit - and I'll relish the memory forever... we last connected by phone last Christmas - I've tried to call.... I'll miss you forever

I couldn't imagine how much time or how many words it would take to sum up what an amazing human being this man was. He was the best grandfather I could've truly ever asked for. He was a man's man, from head to toe and always had the best sense of humor. This world lost one of it's truest and brightest on the day of his passing. I doubt I will ever be able to just let this go, because he is with me through every choice I make as a man. Thank you so much for being the perfect Grandfather. My only regret is not being able to say "I love you and goodbye", and for him to meet his great granddaughter Violet. If I can be just half the man you were, I would still be considered a good man. You are always with me! I love you, and so does Violet!
