Obituary
Ocala, FL – Mrs. Gertrud “Trudy” Huber Gibson, 80, loving wife of Don Gene Gibson, passed away on December 20th, 2015, in Ocala, Florida surrounded by her family. Mrs. Gibson was born on November 5, 1935 in Schleirsee, Germany, the daughter of the late Babette Huber and Joseph Huber. Trudy was a long time member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Belleview, Florida. She was a loving mother first and then snack bar Manager at AMF Galaxy Lanes for decades. She was known and loved for the famous “lunch specials” created on a daily basis. The Galaxy Burger and Garbage Salad were her specialties. She was a member of the Silver Spring Shores Community Center, Glee Club and German Club. Her love for Bingo and penny-ante Poker with her friends was her way of relaxing. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Hendrich, Hans and Georg Huber; four sisters, Johanna Huber, Maria “Lily” Huber, Ottillie “Ottie” Huber Eggers and Anne Huber Leishman, and a great-grandson Ellis Reed Padgett. Survivors include her son, Russell Douglas Gibson (Dorothy) daughter Zina Gibson Padgett (Bill), grandsons, Jason Padgett (Malleri), Jason Hardy (Tiffany); granddaughter Alyson Padgett; great-grandsons Wyatt Padgett, Landon Padgett, Jayson Hardy, Talon Hardy, great granddaughters Sofie Rose Padgett, Justice Hardy, Jayden Hardy, a sister Elisabeth “Lisel” Huber Atkins and multiple nieces and nephews. Trudy will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. December 26, 2015, the family will receive friend’s, from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, 954 East Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34470.
