Obituary

Gertrude Amiss Gray passed away January 5, 2017 at the age of 81. She was a spunky, young – at – heart woman who loved knitting, animals, consignment shops, playing darts, driving her golf cart, a nice glass of Chablis, and decorating her always immaculate home. Most of all she loved her family. Her husband of 61 years, Arthur Gray of Leesburg, FL; son, Scott Gray (Paula) of Solomons, MD; her daughter, Tracey (Chris) of Hingham, MA; her grandchildren, Melissa, Ainsley, Chad, and Colin; her great grandchildren, Peyton, Addison, and Hudson were the light of her life. She will be greatly missed by all. She is now reunited with her parents, T. Brooke and Anastasia Broderick Amiss and her sisters, Mae Broderick, Adele Foley, Carol Gibbons, and brother T. Brooke Amiss. She deeply mourned their passing.

Services are private. Donations in her honor can be made to Cornerstone Hospice / Tavares Hospice House, 2445 Lane Park Rd. 32778.

Art, Jim and I want you to know that you are in our thoughts as you navigate the uncharted waters that lie ahead during this difficult time. The death of a spouse is a "hurt" so deep that it literally causes one's heart to ache. Even though Gert has passed on, her devotion to you, her children, her grandchildren, and her friends will live on forever. All of us who knew her will always hold her dear to our hearts.
